I Just Want A Site is a labor of love started by a husband and wife team of Josh and Liz Wendel. Josh and Liz have worked together since they met. Liz got Josh a job at the restaurant that she worked at when they were 21 and the rest is history. They have three small children Eva (9), Ewan (7) and, Liam (5). They use their complementing skill sets to turn out high quality websites at fair prices.
Liz Wendel
Liz graduated from Park University in 2004 with a BA in Graphic Design. She was honored by her Teachers and peers with an award as a top student. After she graduated, she did freelance work in print and web design before settling on web design as her specialty. She worked for a local web development company as a web designer and executive assistant to get the experience she needed. She learned how to work with HTML code there, and after one year moved to a job as a junior web designer at an advertising agency. There she honed her skills as a designer always hungry for more information, and a thirst to know how things work. After 2 ½ years and a promotion to senior web designer, she decided to break out on her own so she could spend more time with her children. She continues to work for the advertising company as well as three others in the KC area as a senior web designer on a contract basis.

Josh Wendel
Josh has an extensive construction background with emphasis on project management. He started out helping his grandfather and dad on construction sites at a very young age. At the young age of 21, he joined the bricklayers union and carried on the tradition of several members of his family. As a brick mason, he learned a lot about job dedication, work ethic, and punctuality. All of his work experience culminated into a job as a superintendent for a large construction company in Kansas City. His duties included running the daily operations on multi-million dollar jobs, making sure they finished on time and came in under budget. Due to the state of the economic climate, the need for construction began to decline. Josh found himself in a position where a career change seemed inevitable. Being married to Liz for 10 years and watching her desire to work independently made him realize that his project management skills hadn’t been for nothing. Their combined skills and desire to spend more time as a family allowed them to branch out on their own and start their new business, I Just Want A Site.
